How to Delete Your Google Reviews

While it’s important to take the time to read and respond to customer feedback, sometimes it’s necessary to delete a review entirely. How To Delete a Review You Wrote

If you once wrote a review for yourself or your business, but now want to remove it from public view, here’s what you need to do.

1. Go to the review you wrote.

2. Click “Flag as inappropriate” below the review text box and select “I wrote this review.”

3. Select “Remove my review from Google Maps permanently” in the drop-down menu at the bottom of the window. This will remove your review from public view but not delete it altogether. The review will still be stored in the system, but won’t be visible on your business page. 

4. Click “Flag as Inappropriate” again and select “I want this content removed completely” if you want Google to delete your review permanently from its system. Please note that this action is permanent and cannot be undone! 

 How To Deal With Negative Reviews  It is inevitable that some customers may leave negative reviews on your page; no business is perfect 100% of the time! When this happens, don’t panic – try responding in an honest and helpful way instead! Here are some tips for how to handle negative reviews: 

1) Respond promptly – show potential customers that you care about their experience by responding quickly with a polite reply or solution for their issue(s).  

2) Address their concerns – don’t just thank them for their feedback; explain why there was an issue and offer solutions whenever possible (e.g., free shipping or discounts).   3) Stay professional – no matter how unfair or wrong a customer may seem, stay professional in your response!    4) Follow up – make sure that any promises made are kept by following up with customers after resolving any issues they had with your product or service.   5) Don’t delete negative reviews – deleting negative reviews can make potential customers suspicious; focus on responding appropriately instead of deleting them outright if possible!
